2021 Dates & New Classes

We are delighted to confirm the dates for the Midland Hill Climb Championship Calendar in 2021:

24/25 April Prescott *

01/02 May Shelsley Walsh

15/16 May Loton Park *

05/06 June Shelsley Walsh *

12/13 June Loton Park

24/25 July Prescott

14/15 August Shelsley Walsh *

04/05 September Prescott *

25/26 September Loton Park *

*Indicates events/ weekends that also include the British Championship

The only change to the calendar from recent years is that the mid-summer Prescott meeting is moved into July and returns to a two-day format. I feel that this creates a much better balance of events and avoids three consecutive weekends in June.

Since the March meeting at Prescott where the organisers of the British Hill Climb Championship outlined their proposals to event organisers and competitors I have felt very strongly that we should not change the format of the Midland Hill Climb Championship for 2021 – my thinking is that if it isn’t broken, why change it? We have a successful, known and very well supported series and I don’t think this is the time to make any drastic changes.

However I have proposed and it has been accepted by the Championship Directors and Committee, the creation of two new classes, as follows:

Class A (iii) : Road Cars – all cars with Four-wheel-drive.

Class C (iv) : Modified Cars Series Production – all cars with Four-wheel-drive.

ie. I have proposed creating these new classes to separate two and four wheel drive cars and to particularly enable all competitors in whatever class to compete on a level playing field for all our awards.

We have written to existing competitors outlining the above and we welcome all constructive comments and suggestions.

Please contact us if you would like further details.
