Annual Awards 2017

A highlight of the annual Midland Hill Climb Championship awards at the Chateau Impney was the elegant new Tony Fletcher Memorial Trophy for the driver achieving the lowest aggregate time during the class runs at Prescott, Shelsley Walsh and Loton Park. The first recipient of the award was Trevor Willis, after a great season including winning his second British Hillclimb Championship title.

The modified Vauxhall VX220 of Mike Turpin started life in rallycross before being converted for hillclimbs six years ago and he again collected the Silver Plate for being crowned Midland Hill Climb Champion.

Over 70 awards were handed out with Tina Hawkes winning the Ladies award and Jason Mourant taking the largest number to Jersey to add to his Air Miles collection from his many trips to the mainland.

The photographs taken on the night are shown in the Gallery.
