The race is on to finish 2nd place overall behind Robert Kenrick in the 2019 BMTR Midland Hill Climb Champion. The battle is still to be decided between Tony Adams and Ash Mason, with Ash needing to win his class twice on Sunday to overtake Tony by just 1 point!
Robert has already won the Championship for the second year running in his sensational BMW motorcycle engine powered GWR Raptor, however there are several other overall top ten places that could also change on Sunday, along with many places in most classes. In fact, many of the 18 classes are undecided and dropped scores will play a big part in the final outcomes.
There are particularly close battles in the Pre-94 Formula Ford class; where Steve Day has a 3 point lead ahead of Charlie Reilly and in the Up To 1600cc Racing Car class where Zach Zammit leads David Warburton by 4 points.
In the big racing car class, British Champion Wallace Menzies leads although it is very close with Will Hall, Scott Moran and Alex Summers chasing hard on his heels.
It is also all still to play for in the Wynn Developments 'Top Ten Challenge', Wallace however also just has the advantage here over Scott and Alex.
In the class for sports and racing cars built before 1971 Phil Fisher in his Mallock will probably pip the Chevron B19 of Amanda George, who is not competing at this Loton Park meeting.
Tim Davies leads the 'over 60s Challenge' from Andrew Russell, Tony Adams, Mike Tregoning and Steve Day.
In the 'under 25 Challenge' Matthew Ryder is probably uncatchable, however this weekend he drives 2 cars - his family's 'new' Empire in the 1600 class, sharing with Mum Caroline after her accident at Shelsley Walsh. Also Matthew is sharing Sue Young's Gould in the big racing car class!
All in all it will be an exciting weekend of motorsport.
See you there
